Janome releases the SewSwitch 40

In addition to the SewSwitch 30 launched in this September, JANOME announced the SewSwitch 40 as the upper model of the SewSwitch series.

SewSwitch 40 also has the user-friendly “Two-in-one sewing machine for home use” operability and functionality.

  • Combining a sewing machine and 2-thread overlocker into one unit

SewSwitch 40 equipped with the basic “Two-in-one sewing machine for home use” operability and functionality. To switch between the ordinary sewing and overlock side, turn the turntable lever on the front of the sewing machine. This is a killer feature, allowing you to enjoy two sewing machines in a space-saving design.

  • 40 of built-in stitches (Ordinary sewing)

The SewSwitch 40 offers 40 stitches, featuring a selection of practical stitches for garment sewing and other sewing projects. You can embellish your projects by a variety of decorative stitches.

  • Superior needle threader 2 (Ordinary sewing)

The SewSwitch 40 is equipped with “Superior needle threader 2” which is also used in our high-end models. After threading the top thread, simply operate the lever to thread the needle, making thread preparation quick and easy.

  • Automatic thread cutter (Ordinary sewing)

At the end of sewing, simply press the button to cut both the top and bobbin threads at the same time.

  • Designed thread guide (Overlock)

Effortlessly thread the lower looper and needle thread using the intuitive thread guide, you’ll quickly get used to it.
  • Foot for smooth and comfortable sewing (Overlock)
  • Rolled hem stitch performance
As the tip is wider and the stitches can be guided properly, it enables stable and beautiful rolled hem stitch.
  • Stopper
The added stopper, which reduces presser foot tilting, works effectively for thicker fabrics.
  • Needle drop position guide
The extended needle drop position guide improves visibility, allowing for more comfortable sewing.
  • Foot structure
①Gentle curve at the tip of the presser foot ensures smooth bi-level sewing and an easy start. ②Grooves under the foot help prevent fabric slippage.
  • Presser foot lifter safety device
If the presser foot is raised before start sewing, the machine alerts you with an electronic sound and will not begin sewing for safety.
