The CONTINENTAL M8 PROFESSIONAL comes standard with the A.S.R.® includes four feet: closed-toe, open toe, clear view, and the exclusive ruler work foot so that all of your free-motion needs are covered. With the added benefit of being able to set the sensitivity of the sensor; you can adjust the regulation as your skills build.
Extra Large Seamless Flatbed Workspace
The CONTINENTAL Series has large sewing space. With 13 ½” of workspace, a total work area of 17.81”, more than 3” in the needle/needle plate section, and Bright white LED lighting to illuminate your sewing space with shadow-free coverage, your sewing capacity will improve all around. With an added extra wide table of 26.77” x 15.75”, you’ll have even more workspace. It has a built-in drawer so that you can keep all of your favorite accessories at your fingertips.

The AcuSpark2 App provides machine learning & support. Simply scan the QR code on the screen of your machine with the app to see information about the stitch, recommended presser feet, adjustment tips, and more.
Encoder Dials
Effortlessly adjust stitch length and width using the intuitive and tactile encoder dials, allowing for quick stitch editing while sewing or before starting. Simplify quilting by fine-tuning needle positions for a precise quarter-inch seam and save it as a preferred stitch.

Mirage Stitch
Use Mirage Stitches to add an interesting design element to your project. These unique stitches offer a satin look in a variety of shapes with spaces between each motif, making the stitches appear to float on the fabric! Janome Mirage Stitches are infinitely customizable with separate tension and stitch length settings for both the hidden connecting jump stitches and the main satin stitch. This effect can be used on either one or two pieces of fabric.
Automatic Needle Plate Conversion
Using the right tools at the right time is essential in sewing. A straight stitch needle plate makes all the difference when using lightweight fabrics or piecing quilts. Our Computerized One Touch Plate Converter allows you to easily switch and use the perfect plate for your sewing project. Push the on-screen button to release the plate and place a new one in place. The CM8P comes with three standard needle plates: zigzag, straight stitch, and HP.
