I chose the spool of thread because you can’t make anything without thread. And right after fabric I choose my thread to go with it.

I was thrilled to be a part of JANOME’s 100th year project. My block was created in the JANOME Artistic Digitizer software.

My JANOME helps me get to where I want to go, just like the cut on the dotted line simples does.

With free motion quilting, I stitched “Share the Janome Love” which is a saying I came up with a few years ago and have used it a great deal.

I was really interested in the mizuhiki and the geometric patterns they create.

To celebrate 100 years of JANOME, I have created a piece with the main focus being the mizuhiki.

The design was created using the Artistic Software, the application used was applique and text.
