Company Name to Change to JANOME Corporation

Janome Sewing Machine, Co., Ltd. will change its official company name to 'JANOME Corporation' effective from October 1st 2021, subject to confirmation via a resolution at the next General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled to be held on June 25th 2021. Since our establishment in 1921 as Japan's first domestic sewing machine manufacturer, we have always been committed to promoting people's creativity and contributing positively to societies all over the world through our products and services. As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of our founding in October this year, we will renew our resolve to become an integrated company that strives to provide more creative, easy-to-use, and environmentally friendly products and services based on the slogan 'New Janome'. At a time when we are endeavoring to further expand our core sewing machine business and enhance our corporate value, the name change aims to better reflect our current business structure which also includes our growing industrial machinery business, while maintaining the familiar brand name 'JANOME'
